A modification of the traditional Ktiyhui courier, the Hroi'iyr class was constructed to the specifications of the Khaukheairl clan for a wider range of purposes. In addition to standard courier duties within the Hierate, the "Skirmisher" was designed to scout the border with the Solomani Confederation on ELINT missions, as the substantial sensor suite and communications array indicates.
With this purpose in mind, the designers included a redundant ECP protected Model*4/fib as a secure repository to facilitate the transport of classified information. This computer is physically isolated from the ship's computer and communications systems and additional safety measures are included to prevent unauthorized access. Solar and battery backup power sources are included to provide an additional margin of safety against the hazards of border duty. Furthermore, in dire emergency the Model*4/fib is sufficient to control the ship, however this requires some minor work to implement the physical connections.
