Starting Your Web-Page

What do you need to do to start your web-page? Actually, the process is simple and not very different from preparing for advertising in any other "traditional" medium.

1. Write your text, decide on the graphics/logos, color combinations, and so on.

2. Organize your information.
   Decide what information or theme you want the page to present, and come up with a basic format for it.

   Web pages have a window title (the text that appears in the window's title bar), a page title, text, and perhaps graphics or hypertext links to other pages. You need to decide if and how you want to take advantage of these features.

   If you plan to have graphics, think about where they'll go in relation to the text, and how what size you want them to appear on the page. We can help with the layout of your web-pages, but you can save yourself time and money by providing us with a design in advance. This will also guarantee that the web-page is a reflection of your business, and meshes well with any existing presentation material.

   (Don't worry about providing a precise, commercial design! Usually, a simple hand-drawn pencil sketch is more than sufficient for us to get started.)

   If you want additional pages to be linked to your homepage, you'll want to organize them in the same fashion.

3. Contact us by e-mail or phone (541) 745-5709 and we'll arrange a consultation meeting. If you're in the Willamette Valley area, we can come to you. If further away, we can usually handle all meetings by phone and e-mail.

4. Once a design has been agreed upon, we will provide you with a proposal and a price quote. After you have reviewed the proposal, if it meets your needs, sign it and write a check for 50% of the quote.

5. Mail the signed proposal and check, along with your web-page text content, plus any graphics/artwork/photos/logos to:
